Due to the drastic increase in the number of students that contact me, and express a desire to be placed on my waiting list for classes that require a certain amount of candidates for Certified Instructor Courses (both USCCA and NRA), I am changing my policy on allowing student on the Instructor List.
This has become necessary because people get on this list, and when they are asked to commit to the classes, on the agreed upon date, so that I can put together a class, and have all candidates register and submit their fees to participate, they suddenly have other commitments that take priority, forcing me to cancel the class. When this happens repeatedly, I merely drop the students from the list.
This is not fair to other students who have to make work arrangements, registered in good faith, or to myself, as I waste a huge amount of time trying to find dates and times that make everyone happy.
Therefore, effective immediately, I am requiring all that want to be on the wait list for upcoming classes to register on this page. There is a non-refundable fee of $50 to be on this list.
This fee, while not refundable, will be applied to the cost of your class. Registering costs you nothing if you follow through with your word and your commitment to wanting to become an instructor. If you do not follow through after you make a commitment to take the class, your name will be removed for the list and your $50 will be forfeited.
I am not in the business of stealing students money. If you don’t have the flexibility to schedule and attend a class, or lack the commitment to become an instructor, the answer is simple: do not sign up for a class. No harm – no foul.
